Green pepper has a warm, woody-like fragrance that is fresh and less pungent than black pepper. Green pepper works wonderfully with lighter flavored foods and can always be used in combination with black pepper. It can be mashed with garlic and cinnamon to make a spiced butter or added to cream to make a fresh sauce for fish.
