Turkish Delight Hot Chocolate with Urfa Biber and Cinnamon

- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tablespoon ground Vietnamese Cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon Urfa Biber Pepper flakes
- 1 ounce dark chocolate finely chopped
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugard
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- whipped cream (optional)
In a small saucepan, simmer milk and cinnamon over medium-low heat, whisking occasionally, until cinnamon is fragrant (~8 minutes). Be careful to not boil milk. Then whisk in chocolate, Urfa Biber flakes, sugar, vanilla, and salt until chocolate is melted and the hot chocolate is creamy and smooth (~3 minutes). Pour into a mug and top with whipped cream if desired.

The hot chocolate as prepared above is slightly thick and could almost be served as a dessert. For thinner hot chocolate add additional milk.
