Spicy Urfa Biber Brownies
YIELD: 16 servings PREP TIME: 10-13 min COOKING TIME: 25-30 min
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup honey
- ½ teaspoon of a good vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoons Urfa Biber Pepper flakes (can increase or decrease amount to taste)
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup flour
- 3 ounces dark chocolate chunks
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350° F. Butter and flour an 8-inch square baking pan and set aside.
In a microwave safe bowl, combine unsweetened chocolate and butter and microwave on high setting until melted (~45-60 seconds), checking intermittently to make sure the ingredients do not burn. Remove from microwave and stir until smooth. Transfer mixture to a mixing bowl and allow it to cool slightly. Beat in sugar, honey, vanilla, sea salt, and Urfa Biber Pepper flakes. Next, beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in the flour.
Pour the batter into the previously floured 8-inch square baking pan and bake at 350°F. for 20-25 minutes until brownies are set. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.
