Salmon with Balsamic Glaze

YIELD: 2 servings       PREP TIME: 10 min      COOK TIME: 20 min          



  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 teaspoons Spice Your Life Eureka Lemon Olive Oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped into small cubes
  • 3 tablespoons Spice Your Life Blackberry Ginger Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons Spice Your Life French Mustard and Herb Blend
  • Freshly ground pepper to taste
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Italian Parsley (optional garnish)


Preheat oven to 400°F. Pour Lemon Olive Oil into a small skillet and heat on medium setting. Add the chopped garlic and sautè about 2 minutes until it becomes fragrant. Then add the Blackberry Ginger Balsamic Vinegar, French Mustard and Herb Blend, honey, salt, and pepper. Whisk the mixture while simmering on low heat until it thickens (~ 4 minutes).

While the mixture above is simmering, lightly oil a baking sheet or baking dish with Lemon Olive Oil, and place salmon fillets skin side down onto the surface. After the glaze is adequately thickened (above), apply it generously to the tops of both salmon fillets with a brush. Bake for 5 minutes, brush again with the glaze, then bake an additional 5-10 minutes until the fish flakes easily with fork. The salmon should reach 145°F. internal temperature. Garnish with chopped Italian parsley before serving if desired.


We recommend chopping the garlic cloves into small cubes (~1/8-1/4 inch diameter) because they acquire a pleasingly chewy texture that exudes bursts of savoriness that complements the somewhat sweet flavor of the glaze very nicely.
